Parents Come Out, Too (PCOT): Perspectives of family members when a close relative comes out “gender expansive” or gender diverse
I am seeking Work Study eligible students to help with literature review writing, data collection, and qualitative data analysis for projects that involve interviewing family members of individuals who come out as transgender or gender nonconforming. Opportunities may also exist to help me with tasks involved in editing and/or reviewing manuscripts for an APA journal as well as developing a professional presentation on the publication process.
Initiative and ability to work semi-independently. Interest in sexual orientation and gender diversity. Openness to and respect for diverse identities. Willingness to learn about qualitative data analysis and the professional presentation and publication process. Prior coursework or experience in data analysis a plus.
