Job Description:
Looking for four student representatives interested in collaborating on a task force to work toward developing a student governance structure that will allow us to better integrate the disparate groups/organizations on campus and provide better connections and communications with various campus and university-wide leadership groups. They will be tasked with reviewing active student groups, analyze what currently exists and what is working well, identify where improvements can be made and finally develop proposal for moving forward to best represent interests of all students and student groups.
The task force will consist of one student from each of our four departments and we expect that the work will span fall and spring semesters. These position will require on average 2 hours of work per week for fall and spring 2020 semester. The work can be conducted online via Zoom, email and other online modalities.
The Justice Leadership Council will serve in an advisory capacity to the task force and Associate Provost, Linda Drake Gobbo, will serve as advisor to move process forward.
Qualifications: Applicants must have strong critical thinking skills, good communication skills, ability to collaborate and work with a team, ability to engage diverse community members. Familiarity with survey software would be preferable.
Do not need to have Federal work study funds.
