Assist with the full implementation of entire Wild Treasures: Climate Change program to 20 7th & 8th graders at the Surry Village Charter School in Keene, NH (a tuition-free public-school alternative).
Take charge of teaching all of the Core Concepts, and assisting classroom teacher as much as deemed desirable and needed in all other phases of the program including Research, Proposal, and Action. Responsibilities also include managing the Wild Treasures’ budget.
Must be a self-motivated, independent worker with exceptional personable skills, good humor, as well as comfort and confidence teaching middle school students. Must be extremely well organized and able to get to the school between 1-2 days a week. Experience with facilitating student-centered, student-directed, hands-on, conceptually rich, real-problem based science lessons is preferred.
