Laconia School District was awarded a 5-year School Climate Transformation Grant (SCTG) by the federal Department of Education in 2014, to support the development and enhancement of their Multi-tiered System of Supports – Behavioral Health (MTSS-B) intervention, also used statewide in NH’s Safe Schools Healthy Students and Project AWARE initiatives. The Laconia SCTG uses the MTSS-B model to improve school climate, focusing on the implementation of non-punitive, proactive approaches to supporting positive student behavior and learning conditions. We serve as external evaluator for the Laconia SCTG, engaging in mixed method formative and summative process and outcome evaluation and promoting utilization of findings by stakeholders to improve the project.
