- A Parent’s Guide to Evidence-Based Practice and Autism A reference guide published by the National Autism Center. This guide summarizes current research in evidence based practices for Autism treatment.
- Vermont Interagency White Paper on Autism Spectrum Disorders An interagency white paper to answer critical questions about Autism in Vermont.
- Best Practice Guidelines for the Diagnosis of Pervasive Developmental Disorders
- National Autism Center, National Standards Project The primary goal of the National Standards Project is to provide critical information about which treatments have been shown to be effective for individuals with ASD. The project examined and quantified the level of research supporting interventions that target the core characteristics of ASD in children, adolescents, and young adults (below 22 years of age) on the autism spectrum.This groundbreaking report covers a broad range of applied treatments and identifies the level of scientific evidence available for each.
- National Autism Center Publishes Autism Manual for Educators – The National Autism Center recently wrote and published a comprehensive manual titled Evidence-Based Practice and Autism in the Schools. The 181-page manual includes important findings from the Center’s newly released National Standards Report.
- New Hampshire Autism Council – Information on the membership and committee meetings of the council
- First 100 Days Kit – A tool kit published by Autism Speaks to assist families in getting the critical information they need in the first 100 days after an autism diagnosis.
- Understanding Asperger’s Syndrome: A Professor’s Guide – This 12-minute presentation from Organization for Autism Research’s (OAR), is designed to help college-bound students with Asperger’s familiarize their professors, teaching assistants and others with the disorder.
- The NH Rules for the Education of Children with Disabilities – special education law, RSA 186-C and regulations adopted 6/28/08. These are the rules which govern special education in New Hampshire. Support Groups
- Recreational Group for Adults with Asperger’s Syndrome, Keene, NH
A social recreation group for adults with Asperger’s Syndrome and related disorders. This group will offer adults with Asperger’s Syndrome and related disorders an opportunity to socialize on a regular basis, twice a month. Activities will be developed by the groups itself. This group is sponsored by the Asperger’s Autism Network (AANE).
