The Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) is proud to serve Antioch University in its commitment to provide “learner-centered education to empower students with the knowledge and skills to lead meaningful lives and to advance social, economic, and environmental justice.”
Key Responsibilities
Internal and External Reporting
The OIE serves as the college’s official clearinghouse for data and information regarding the University. OIE validates data in collaboration with representatives from the five (5) campuses of AU, as well as the central Registrar’s Office, Academic Affairs, Admissions Office, the Financial Aid Office and the Data Governance Committee. Each year OIE produces a wide variety of planning, assessment, and research reports for external and internal reporting:

Surveys of Students, Faculty, Staff (creation, administration, analysis of results, presentations and discussions)
Institutional Research (IR) leads the creation (if homegrown), administration, analysis of results, presentations and discussions of surveys at AU, such as the Alumni Survey. OIE also provides consultation and technical assistance to the community in the design, implementation, and data analysis for survey research in any of the 5 campuses.
Support and Collaboration with Accreditation and Assessment
OIE works close with the University Director of Academic Assessment and Support Services and the University Director of Accreditation and Academic Compliance to assure a comprehensive approach to institutional effectiveness.
