Dr. Kali Lantrip completed her B.A. at UC Berkeley and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at University of Oregon. Dr. Lantrip’s dissertation research was on prevention of dating violence, and she has also published articles about Interpersonal Violence in Journal of Family Violence and Journal of Counseling Psychology. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at University of California, Santa Barbara with an emphasis in working with students who experienced child abuse, sexual assault and dating violence. Dr. Lantrip was hired in June 2015 to continue at CAPS as the Interpersonal Violence Specialist, which includes co-leading the Healing After Sexual Assault group, providing individual therapy to survivors of abuse and assault, as well as coordinating the Interpersonal Violence support services at CAPS and consulting with campus partners to provide support services for survivors across campus and in the Isla Vista community. Additionally, Dr. Lantrip has a small private practice in Santa Barbara, and loves to share and learn from others by providing consultation, trainings, and teaching graduate students.
