Valerie began her career in marketing over twelve-years ago and has held leadership positions at several large organizations and marketing agencies where she has launched products, implemented innovative consumer programs and brought companies online through social media and the mobile web.
For the past five years, Valerie has worked independently as a marketing strategy and branding consultant. She has extensive experience in online marketing — mobile web development, content marketing, social media, search engine optimization and other digital strategies.
Valerie is a huge advocate of continuing professional growth and education. Since graduating with a BA in Communication, she has completed a Professional Marketing Certificate and an MBA in Marketing. She now teaches several Marketing, Public Relations and Businesses courses at Santa Barbara City College and Antioch University, both online and in person. She is passionate about the growing freelance economy and loves to mentor individuals who want to build a freelance career.
