Prison Rights and Advocacy + MA Ed Info Session
Come create the change you want to see and engage with fellow citizens at our open-house panel on Prison Rights and Advocacy as part of our Educating the Resistance course. The panel consists of the formerly-incarcerated speaking on prison rights and advocacy. This forum is open to the public to engage and dialog with those who’ve experienced incarceration on how to be actively involved as citizens to create change in prison policy.
“Educating for the Resistance” is a 10-week course that weekly features speakers focusing on an area that is under attack by the current presidential administration, providing action-oriented resources and discussing ways that we can aid in the resistance as citizens and educators. Other course topics include Art as Resistance and Trans and Queer Issues.
This event will be followed by an Information Session about our Master’s in Education programs.
