Welcome!

You've reached the AUS Writing Lab's online registration & scheduling system! Before registering, please review our policies and practices below.

  • Session Duration and Frequency: Sessions may be scheduled starting on the hour, but will typically be 50 minutes in length.
  • Walk-in Sessions: You are welcome to seek a walk-in appointment during our regular hours. Since there is no guarantee that consultants will be available when you walk in, you may wish to call in advance.
  • No Shows: If you must cancel an appointment, please do so as far in advance as possible. After two “no shows,” you will need to use walk-in hours for the remainder of the quarter.
  • Disability Accommodations: If you have special circumstances that will affect your session, please let the Writing Lab know ahead of time, and we will work to schedule a longer session (up to 90 minutes) and accommodate your needs.

Making the Most of Your Session

  • Preparation: Please bring any relevant assignment prompt as well as any specific questions or areas to troubleshoot.
  • Expectations: Our trained writing consultants are graduate students at AUS. As such, they work as peers, providing reader-response feedback and strategies for continued improvement in your writing. Rather than editing your paper we help you become your own copy editor. Our goal, after all, is to help you become a stronger, more confident writer.

Students are expected to follow the school’s Code of Conduct. Any student who interferes with the orderly conduct of work in the Lab will be reported to the Dean and lose lab privileges.

We are always looking for ways to improve our services. If you have questions or suggestions about our online registration system, or about the lab in general, please contact our team at writinglab.aus@antioch.edu or the CTL Director, Lindsey Gay, at lgay@antioch.edu.
