Dr. April D. Murdaugh is the CEO and Founder of Woman to Woman Financial a virtual fee-based wealth management firm based in Jacksonville, Florida. Her practice helps women executives, business owners, medical professionals, and their families create and grow generational wealth.

As a fiduciary, she dedicates her time to assisting her clients with budgeting, debt elimination, investing, tax planning, retirement planning, risk management, and legacy planning.

She is extremely passionate about financial literacy for all, as her experiences with homelessness, becoming a widow, and later divorce propelled her to learn how to manage her finances and share her knowledge with others. She has taught financial education programs in churches, libraries, and private organizations in both South Carolina and Florida and continues to do so.

Dr. Murdaugh founded a nonprofit organization, The Economic Empowerment Center, that provides free financial literacy to high school and college students in the local Jacksonville area.

Her signature workshop, The Five Biggest Mistakes Women Make with Money, outlines the many financial struggles she’s had managing her finances to help eliminate the stigma and shame many women feel about their financial situation in hopes of getting them to act.

On her podcast Becoming A Financially Confident Woman, she educates, empowers, and encourages women on relevant financial topics.

Dr. Murdaugh has a background as a college administrator and full-time professor of Business, Finance, and Logistics. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John’s University, a Master of Science degree from Southern Wesleyan University, and a Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University.

She is a member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, a President of the Professional Women’s Council of the Jax Chamber (PWC), and a President of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers – Northeast Florida Chapter.

She is a single mom of four wonderful adult children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, running, kayaking, and hiking.
