The Teaching and Learning Center at AULA is a place for students to get academic support in numerous subject areas.

The AUNE Writing Center is a group of creative, supportive, and collaborative individuals who work to help our entire community.
Santa Barbara
The AUSB Writing Center provides free writing support, through one-on-one sessions with peer tutors.
Seattle
The Writing Lab is a dedicated learner-centered collaborative space available to all Antioch students.
Virtual Writing Center
The VWC provides free peer feedback on writing for Antioch University students. Supporting the writing process from start to finish!
Writers Exchange
The WEX provides coaching, editing, and dissertation assistance as well as a variety of services to suit every writer's need.
One-to-One Support (Zoom, Phone, or In-Person):
All Antioch Writing Centers offer free one-on-one peer consultations about your writing. Most peer writing tutors are current students who can help you work through barriers in your writing process and practice, and some centers also offer consultations with faculty.
All staff are here to support you with openness, suggestions, problem-solving, and respect for your role as the author – no red pen involved.

Zoom Sessions for Online Students:

Written Feedback and Comments on Your Writing:
The Virtual Writing Center offers free written feedback on up to 12 pages of work at a time, and endeavors to respond to all submissions in about 48 hours.
The staff who read your work are peer writing consultants from a variety of Antioch Graduate programs in a variety of disciplines. You don’t need a finished paper to request feedback, and we don’t pass judgment on your work – our goal is to help you develop your skills with supportive suggestions from the perspective of a reader.
Areas of support from the VWC:
- Outlining and Planning: Submit outlines and notes for feedback on ideas.
- Major Revision: Submit initial or incomplete drafts for big picture feedback on thesis, structure, organization, integration of sources, and so on.
- Minor Revision: Submit second or third drafts to work on paragraph structure, clarity, conciseness, syntax, and other sentence-level feedback.
- Style and Polish: Submit near-final drafts for suggestions about APA or MLA, word choice, grammar, and other procedural edits.
At-Cost Professional Editing and Coaching:

The Antioch University Writers’ Exchange provides anyone in the Antioch community (students, faculty, staff, and alumni) with professional editing and coaching to support complex and demanding writing projects; such as dissertations, dissertation proposals, theses, professional academic publications, and other publishable works.
The Writers’ Exchange has a staff of editors and coaches who are familiar with Antioch’s expectations and competent in a variety of style guides and genres. For more information about these services, visit the Writers’ Exchange at wex.antioch.edu.
