Beverly became a librarian in 2003. As a child, she was a voracious reader and spent much of her free time in libraries. Beverly has experience working in several different types of libraries including public, academic community college and university, and special/government. She enjoys interacting directly with students and teaching them how to find the resources they need. A big fan of learner-centered education, Beverly believes that information literacy can empower students in all aspects of their lives. She also believes that it is important to be curious about the world because there is always more to learn. Beverly continues to love reading, especially science fiction and fantasy. She lives in Seattle with two cats and enjoys running, hiking, traveling, knitting, photography, playing board games, and cosplay.
