  • Job Description
  • Time estimates below reflect average weekly responsibilities. Tasks and workload may vary week to week depending on program needs, faculty requests, events, and ongoing projects.
  • Support Undergraduate Program and faculty with projects as identified (10–12 hours/week)
  • Send reminders to faculty regarding administrative needs, including updated syllabi submissions and department materials (.5–1 hour/week)
  • Post announcements, events, syllabi, and other updates to undergraduate website or learning management systems (1–2 hours/week)
  • Maintain and update undergraduate website content as needed (1–2 hours/week)
  • Assist with organizing, labeling, and archiving digital program materials and department resources including websites (.5–1 hour/week)
  • Help manage undergraduate program email communications and announcements (1–2 hours/week)
  • Create flyers, announcements, and promotional materials for undergraduate events and initiatives (1–2 hours/week)
  • Assist with promotion of MA Pathways opportunities for undergraduate students through outreach materials, informational flyers, website announcements, and digital communications (.5–1 hour/week)
  • Assist with classroom reservation coordination for undergraduate classes, meetings, and events by communicating with faculty and university departments regarding scheduling and availability (.5–1 hour/week)
  • Support student engagement and outreach efforts related to undergraduate programming (1–2 hours/week)
  • Create events on campus for students including decorating grad cap and other community-building efforts.
  • Support the commencement team in helping with pre-planning on the day of the event.

  • Attend weekly meeting with supervisor at predetermined time (1 hour/week)
  • Review progress on current tasks and projects
  • Clarify priorities, timelines, and next steps
  • Problem solve challenges related to assignments and departmental needs

  • Take on special research assignments from faculty as requested (5–7 hours/week)
  • Locate updated journal articles, books, multimedia, and educational resources (2–3 hours/week)
  • Research internship and volunteer opportunities relevant to undergraduate students (1–2 hours/week)
  • Assist with outreach spreadsheets, summaries, and organization of research findings (1–2 hours/week)
  • Support with assessment practices and exit interviews (2-4 hrs/month)

Qualifications

  • Strong written communication and organizational skills

  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, website platforms, or similar technology
