Carol Tisson, MA

Carol Tisson is a management consultant and executive coach with nearly 30 years of experience in organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and culture change. Carol is the program director and a member of the faculty for AUSB’s Women & Leadership Certificate program. She enjoyed a 20-year career at Intel Corporation, during which she was a two-time recipient of the Intel Achievement Award for her groundbreaking work in executive development, and has since supported clients across technology, healthcare, financial services, and non-profit sectors.

Carol’s personal passion is empowering women’s leadership, and she is proud to count many executive women from across sectors as her clients, in addition to having this as the focus of her community and philanthropic work. She has been an investor in The Hunger Project for over 20 years and was a charter investor and consultant to its South Asia Women’s Leadership Initiative.

She was the founding chair of the Women of Silicon Valley Donor Circle and served on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Foundation of California for eight years. She currently serves as an advisor to the Monterey County Women’s Fund and Women’s Empowerment Project as well as for Stanford’s Clayman Institute for Gender Studies.

Carol holds an MA in Whole Systems Design and Organizational Renewal from Antioch University Seattle and a BS in Psychology and Women’s Studies from the University of Oregon.
