Resident Intern at Brattleboro, VT Schools
Paid internship opportunities!
This partnership between the Integrated Learning Program and local, Vermont elementary schools provides a limited number of students with the opportunity to work alongside model teachers in an internship that is a full-time commitment for which interns receive half-time compensation. In this role, interns will be fully immersed in a school community throughout the year, while also being closely supervised by an Antioch faculty member. Work under the close mentorship of highly trained educators as you gain experience with innovative teaching practices. Apply your learning from coursework to a real-life setting within a welcoming community of teachers and learners.
Priority Deadline: Application review begins May 1. Internship application includes resume and 3 letters of reference.

Working Intern
Already have a teaching or assistant teaching job? You can keep the job and complete internship requirements!
We will partner with your supervisor and you to integrate internship activities with our current role in education. As long as you are working in a setting that is consistent with the teacher certification you desire and with a veteran teacher, this is an opportunity to continue working and work toward certification. You will be fully immersed in your school community and complete internship activities in collaboration with a Cooperating Teacher under the supervision of an Antioch faculty member.
Work under the close mentorship of your colleagues and apply your learning from coursework to a real-life setting.
No separate application required. In your application and after you enroll, we can learn if this is the type of internship you desire.

Classroom Intern
We have decades of experience placing interns in innovative schools.
We will work with you to identify the location, grade level(s), and type of school community in which you want to intern. Based on that information, we will recommend schools and teachers with whom you can visit to consider internship opportunities. We have strong relationships across New England and beyond with teachers who welcome our students as interns.
Just like the other options, you will be fully immersed in a strong school community. You will complete internship activities in collaboration with your Cooperating Teacher, be supported by an Antioch faculty member, and apply learning from coursework to a real-life setting.
No separate application required. In your application and after you enroll, we can learn if this is the type of internship you desire.
