All students earning their Master of Science in Allied Health in Exercise and Health Science must complete the “core” requirements (18 Total Hours):

  • Research Design
  • Racism: Beyond Black and White
  • Allied Healthcare Administration
  • Evidence-Based Practice
  • Leadership & Advocacy in Policy and Healthcare
  • Program Planning & Evaluation

In addition to the core requirements, students will complete:

Advanced Practice Content Courses – (6 hours)

  • Advanced Strength & Conditioning
  • Foundations and Theory of Health Behavior

Completion of your degree is fulfilled by choosing to either complete a research thesis or take on a hands-on practicum project relevant to exercise and health science.

      Describe your personal goals and how your experience relates to your pursuit of this degree
    • Two Letters of Recommendation (required), from people who are in a position to evaluate your professional (e.g., supervisor, colleague) or academic (e.g., faculty) work. The person making the recommendation cannot be related to you.
    • Professional resume
  2. Submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities where you earned a degree or certificate. A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher is required. You must have earned a four-year degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

  3. There are additional requirements for International applicants and applicants without a Bachelor’s degree.
  4. Note: Applicants may be invited to a personal interview at the discretion of the Program Chair/ Director, conducted via Zoom.
