Graduation FAQs
Once my graduation application is in, what else do I need to do for commencement?
You will need to complete the Commencement RSVP form no later than February 23. You will also need to order your cap and gown through KeyPlus. If you have any questions, please contact Rhonda McArthur by email at [email protected].
What is my graduation date?
The last day of the semester in which you complete program requirements is your official graduation date. Do not confuse this with the day that commencement occurs. The commencement ceremony is held once a year for all graduates during the preceding school year. For each commencement, there will be students representing three actual graduation dates.
When will I receive my diploma?
Diplomas will not be ordered until program requirements are complete and a graduation application has been submitted. Final documents, including a diploma and a complimentary official transcript, will be generated once all program requirements have been completed, including completion of the Financial Aid Exit Interview, and all bills paid in full. You should expect to receive your final documents in the mail within four to six weeks following the completion of all degree requirements.
Commencement Policy
Students who have successfully completed all requirements in their academic program, or whom the Registrar’s office determines will complete their requirements no later than the summer term, are encouraged to participate in the annual commencement ceremony in the summer. Additional information regarding times, announcements, regalia, etc. can be obtained from the Student Services office.
Students should finalize these arrangements at least two months prior to the scheduled commencement ceremony.
