As an educator, I believe teaching is a collaborative, relational, and transformative process. My teaching philosophy is grounded in social justice, cultural humility, and trauma-informed pedagogy. I strive to create inclusive learning environments where students feel seen, challenged, and supported as they develop their counselor identity. I view students as co-creators of knowledge and encourage critical reflection, experiential learning, and the integration of theory and practice. Drawing from person-centered, multicultural, and wellness-oriented frameworks, I intentionally model authenticity, empathy, and advocacy in the classroom. Whether in virtual or in-person spaces, my goal is to foster critical thinking, compassion, and cultural responsiveness—preparing students to become ethical, reflective, and equity-driven counselors who are ready to meet the needs of diverse communities.
