Ashley Yakey

Antioch University Seattle

Ashley earned her BA in Psychology, Women’s Studies, and Studio Art from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. She received her MA in Psychology from Antioch University Seattle. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington State and a Registered Art Therapist. Ashley is an Educator for Gottman’s Bringing Baby Home Program and a Parent Group Leader of the Incredible Years Babies Program.

Ashley’s experience working in art therapy and family therapy crosses a variety of settings, including several hospitals, a Native American reservation, head start, an oncology support center, and a community mental health agency. Her current clinical practice is in infant mental health, where she works with families transitioning to parenthood through early school age. A few of the areas that Ashley focuses on are attachment, anxiety, depression, parenting skills, grief and loss, trauma, and foster care support, all while assisting clients to work and explore creatively.
