Cathy Henschel-McGerry has been in private practice since 1983. From 1985 to 1987 she worked in agency settings with adults who have addictive disorders. In her practice she supervises candidates for mental health counselor and marriage and family therapist licensure and provides consultation for licensed therapists. She works with adult individuals and couples who come to her with a history of trauma and those in transition. Her work is informed by her studies in transpersonal psychology, esoteric healing practices, Jungian analytical psychology, and family systems. Henschel-McGerry is a member of the Jungian Psychotherapist Association, The Association for Humanistic Psychology, The Association for the Advancement of Psychosynthesis, and the Washington Mental Health Counselor’s Association. She has been published in the Spring Journal, the Journal for Family Life, and has presented to the Association for the Advancement of Psychosynthesis.
