Esther Gobrial is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has earned her Master of Science degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University as well as a Certificate in Clinical Mediation. She has over fifteen years of experience working with individuals with substance dependence, co-occurring disorders, mental health disorders, offender population, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm, homicidal ideations, abuse (sexual, physical, emotional, and financial), chronic homelessness, cultural diversity issues, veterans, foster care, children, family, group, and couple’s therapy.

Esther has a considerable history of excellence in clinical care, supervision, and education. She has worked in the nonprofit sector, including the Department of Mental Health as well as the private sector. Esther has held a vast number of administrative and clinical leadership roles within the field of behavioral healthcare. Esther’s reputation for effective collaboration and steadfast leadership has been demonstrated in previous prominent supervisory roles, some of which include Clinical Director, U.S. VETS – Inglewood, Clinical Director, La Ventana Treatment Programs, Director of Outpatient Services, CLARE Foundation, Administrative Manager, Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services and Clinical Supervisor, Tarzana Treatment Centers. Esther continues her commitment to education and supervision, lecturing on topics she is highly passionate about as an Affiliate Faculty - Senior Lecturer Ranking at Loyola Marymount University.

Esther is extremely motivated and passionate about helping all individuals and mentoring students in navigating the counseling field successfully. She believes in being open-minded and following a multi-disciplinary approach to treating clients. Esther views clients from a holistic perspective (mind, body, social, environment). As a dedicated healer, she orients herself to a vast collection of clinical expertise. However, her heart holds strongly for those specifically suffering from substance abuse, trauma, mental health disorders, offenders, and those who have served our country (active duty and veterans). In her clinical work, Esther finds peace personally in guiding people toward a more fulfilling and serene future. This work includes inviting innovative and collective approaches to the healing process.

She is a strong advocate of self-care and educates clients, peers, and students on the importance of adding self-care into their lives in addition to safe and healthy coping skills.

During her free time, Esther loves to travel the world, spend time with her family and friends, go shopping, go to the gym, play with her dog, laugh, watch movies and TV series, learn about different cultures, and enjoy their cuisines, and relaxing at the beach.
