Haley Fox, PhD, is an integrally-informed psychotherapist, teacher, and writer. She is licensed to practice mental health counseling in three states, holds an LPC supervisor designation in two of them, and is board-certified in art therapy (ATR-BCCS), music therapy (MT-BC), psychedelic-assisted therapy, and telemental health (BC-TMH). Her theoretical orientation is grounded in archetypal psychology, including the role images play in human experience. Fox lives in the Ozarks, where she operates a solo practice.

I have assumed the role of teacher/trainer/clinical supervisor throughout my career. Watching young practitioners learn and grow, and playing a role in nurturing their professional development, has been one of my deepest pleasures. I would place my primary values as a teacher into these categories: student autonomy; intellectual honesty; intellectual freedom; academic rigor; and commitment to a Scholar-Practitioner model.
Though my personal theoretical orientation as a psychotherapist and researcher is grounded in the arts, with strong analytical and archetypal psychology influences, I encourage practitioners to develop theoretical orientations congruent with their own individual philosophies and working styles—as opposed to becoming some kind of "clone" of an admired scholar. This approach to teaching has been both gratifying and exciting for me, as I learn as much from students as they learn from me. My job as I see it is to guide, probe, inspire and facilitate professional growth and learning.
From a developmental clinical supervision model, I borrow the understanding that students come with a wide range of skills, aptitudes, maturity, and limitations—and therefore I endeavor to meet them where they are; to be flexible and aware enough to apply different approaches where needed; and to gradually allow for increased self-reliance over time. Beyond the importance of acquiring knowledge, I put significant focus on self-awareness, self-as-tool, compassion for clients and research subjects, and navigating intelligently through ethical dilemmas and quandaries.
Experienced university professor, trainer, public speaker, researcher, and author. Special interest in integral metatheory, archetypal psychology, sexuality, improvisation, ancient artifacts, the arts in psychotherapy, and psychedelic-assisted therapy.
