Janet McIntyre is passionate about working with and supporting the people and organizations leading social change. She has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector in positions such as executive director, development director, coach, consultant, and trainer/facilitator. Currently she is the VP of Programs and Training at Executive Service Corps of Southern California (ESC) where she is responsible for leading the design and execution of nonprofit leadership institutes and customized cohort programs, as well as the onboarding and training of ESC’s 100+ volunteer consulting corps.
She also has an active consulting and coaching practice in which she serves as a consultant with RoadMap which provides capacity building support to nonprofits across the country on the forefront of the social justice movement. Janet is also the Board Governance instructor for Annenberg Alchemy’s Leadership Seminar, Alchemy Plus, and CNN Heroes. She is a fundraising coach with CompassPoint in their Bright Spots cohort and previously in their Fundraising Academy for Grassroots Fundraising. She is also passionate about coaching wonderful people who are interested in exploring change in their lives and the world. She earned her coaching certification from the Coaches Training Institute.
Previously, Janet served in roles such as executive director of the Hollywood Arts Council, development director of Classical KUSC Public Radio, and manager of annual giving at the LA Philharmonic and Hollywood Bowl.
Her current volunteer commitments include serving as vice-president of the board of Jericho Road Pasadena, co-chair of the South Pasadena Community Garden, and president of her HOA. Previously she served as a member of the Board of Trustees of her alma mater, Occidental College.
When she’s not working with or volunteering for nonprofit organizations, this native Angeleno bleeds blue for the Dodgers and enjoys gardening, jazz, traveling and reading non-fiction.
