My teaching philosophy focuses on equity, ethical practice, and student engagement. I build inclusive, reflective learning environments where students connect theory to practice through hands-on and skills-based activities. I emphasize timely, strengths-based feedback and mentorship to foster the development of professional identity. I aim to prepare culturally responsive, reflective practitioners who think critically and advocate ethically in their careers.

My academic focus is on counselor education, emphasizing multicultural competence, social justice, and ethical advocacy. I am especially dedicated to training counselors to analyze systemic barriers critically, practice in culturally responsive ways, and translate theory into effective advocacy for diverse individuals, families, and communities in both clinical and educational settings.
