Kelly Hyatt, MA, MFT, attended the University of California, Irvine for her B.A. Degree and Antioch University Santa Barbara for her MA in Clinical Psychology, with a Healthy Aging specialization. Kelly works as a private practice therapist at the Family Therapy Institute of Santa Barbara and at Cottage Hospital as a Case Manager in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. Kelly utilizes a strength-based integrative approach in her work with individuals and families and draws on principles from family systems models, humanistic, cognitive behavior, and psychodynamic principles to collaborate with clients to set goals for positive change.

Kelly’s clinical training has included working with diverse client populations with internships at the Mental Wellness Center, Community Counseling & Education Center, Ellwood Elementary School, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, and the Family Therapy Institute of Santa Barbara. Previously, Kelly worked as a full-time substitute teacher for the Santa Barbara School District. Kelly enjoys staying involved in the community through volunteering and continuing furthering her knowledge in the field by reading, attending trainings, conferences, and consultation groups.
