Oliver Williams, PhD, received his PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His other degrees include Masters Degrees in Statistics and Methodology and Counseling Psychology as well as a Bachelors degree in Physics. He is a published author of both peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters and also fiction. His in-print novels have won acclaim: The Sand Fly (a psychological thriller submitted by his publisher for the Pulitzer in 2012) and a science fiction novel Children of the Universe.

Dr. Williams is a developer and founding member of InnerLife.com. He has developed software applications for clinical patient assessment, data collection, and statistical analysis. He currently works to develop consistent treatment protocols from rigorous outcomes data analysis. Before changing careers to clinical and research psychology, he was an engineer in the microelectronics industry. He was distinguished by having invented a unique optocoupled solid state relay that revolutionized high power solid state switching technology. His goal in psychology is to apply technology to the science of helping people change. Dr. Williams is also an accomplished pilot and holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate, Certified Flight Instructor, and is Lear Jet type rated.
