Dr. Saneik Smalls is an esteemed counselor educator and professional school counselor with extensive experience in the field of mental health and education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), a master’s degree in School Counselor Education from FAMU, and an EdD in Counselor Education and Supervision from National Louis University.

With over a decade of experience in school counseling, Dr. Smalls has worked extensively in both Fort Myers and Bradenton, Florida. She has served as a Certified Professional School Counselor, Crisis and Trauma Specialist, and Multicultural Counseling Expert. Dr. Smalls is also a dedicated educator, having taught as an adjunct faculty member at Liberty University Online, National Louis University, and Argosy University. She specializes in courses related to mental health, school counseling, and crisis/trauma.

Her teaching philosophy emphasizes the development of competent and compassionate counselors through a holistic, experiential, and culturally competent approach. She believes in fostering a supportive learning environment that values diversity and ethical practices. Dr. Smalls is known for her dedication to her students, her commitment to professional development, and her passion for making a meaningful impact in the field of counseling.

Dr. Smalls’s teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that the journey to becoming a competent and compassionate counselor requires a dynamic, multifaceted approach. She emphasizes the importance of creating an educational environment that values diversity, promotes experiential learning, and instills a strong ethical foundation.

Dr. Smalls’s academic focus is centered on the holistic development of future School Counselors.
