Sharon Wamble-King, PhD, is a distinguished strategic communication and change leadership consultant with decades of experience across corporate, consulting, and not-for-profit sectors. Her scholarship focuses on leadership and communication at the intersection of gender and ethnicity, exploring how decolonized perspectives can reframe our understanding and reshape our enactments of engaging and mobilizing others. At Antioch, she has taught courses on Afrocentricity and women, community co-creation and embodied storytelling, and African American women's poetry as an expression of urban voice. Dr. Wamble-King has presented her research on Africana women's wisdom and decolonized leadership frameworks at international conferences, including the International Leadership Association Global Conference and academic venues in South Africa. She has authored publications such as “African Spiritually Informed Leadership: Galvanizing and Mobilizing for the Common Good and Human Flourishing”. Dr. Wamble-King’s current research projects include co-editing "Global Generative Leadership: Lessons from Women's Leadership to Sustain our Future" for Emerald Publishing. Her expertise spans senior leadership roles in global management consulting firms, Fortune 50 multi-state health plans, delivery systems, and medical groups. Dr. Wamble-King is certified by the International Leadership Association's Leadership Educator Academy and holds a Prosci Change Management certification. She holds a PhD and MA in Leadership and Change, a MS in Mass Communication, and a BS in Sociology and Communication Arts.
