Susan Ferrant, PhD, is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist who has maintained a private practice in Santa Barbara since 1980 when she was licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She started the counseling programs for Shelter Services in Santa Barbara in the 1980s and completed her dissertation on the topic of Battered Women in 1992. In 1994, Dr. Ferrant was licensed as a Psychologist in California and began her forensic practice, performing assessment in family and criminal matters with a specialization in the assessment of child custody issues and sexual and violent offenders.
Dr. Ferrant has worked for the California Department of Corrections as a Psychologist and is currently the Senior Supervising Psychologist for the Department of State Hospitals, Coalinga. Dr. Ferrant has taught in the Antioch University Santa Barbara PsyD program since 2012
