Job Description
The student(s) in this position will work across a broad suite of tasks managing the ES Department’s various communications outlets, including the Keystone Newsletter (25%), the ES Dept. Annual Centers Report (25%), and social media platforms (50%).
Duties will include a range of tasks, including interviewing faculty, staff and students, writing articles, compiling information on department events/news and potentially (if available) videotaping/photographing ES Department activities, events or courses. The student will manage email correspondence associated with submissions for the publications. Additional duties will be completed following consultation with the student regarding specific interests and skill development opportunities.
Qualifications
Student should have a strong interest in media and communication. Interest and/or experience with social media management, familiarity with article/newsletter layout (or interest in learning). Strong writing, editing, and interviewing skills. Strong multi-tasking skills and desire to showcase current and future events (e.g., faculty/student highlights) of the ES Department across a range of platforms.
