Percentage of time that could be remote (0-100%): The candidate must be responsive and available via email, phone, and/or in person. The position will report to ENACTS Project Co-PI and Antioch faculty member Abigail Abrash Walton. Team meetings will take place during regular week-day business hours. Travel to the three Living Hub sites will be required during Spring 2025. Some weekend travel and programmatic work may be required, in association with the three Community Resilience workshops.

Job Description

Key responsibilities for this position include the following:
● Collaborate in developing and implementing one-day Community Resilience
workshops in each of the three Living Hubs, based on the Antioch CCPCR
Climate and Health Resilience Initiative pilot;
● Collaborate in designing, implementing and analyzing stakeholder behavioral
change research methods (pre- and post-workshop surveys, semi-structured
interviews);
● Mobilize and manage project stakeholder engagement, including identifying and
engaging Living Hub community participants/NbS decision makers;
● Collaborate in developing presentations and reports on the team’s work for the
ENACTS team and others;
● Develop and share with AUNE Comms team narrative description and photo
image documenting project activities relevant for social media; and
● Participate in weekly Antioch team meetings and periodic ENACTS team
meetings from October 2024 to August 2025.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work with others and communicate effectively, including with
    respect to presentations and report writing, is essential.
  • Ability to travel for project workshops is required.
  • Experience with effective community organizing and event
    planning, particularly with respect to climate resilience and preparedness issues is
    strongly preferred.
  • Prior qualitative and quantitative research experience is strongly
    preferred, including psychosocial survey development, administration, and analysis;
    implementation of semi-structured interviews; and effective data management.

  • Additional qualifications include organizational, project, and time management skills,
    flexibility, strong intercultural and interpersonal awareness and skills, the capacity to
    work independently, and the ability to network with local government decision makers,
    community-based organization members, residents, and other ENACTS researchers.
  • Reliable access to a personal computer or to Antioch campus library computer services
    is required.
