Hours per Week: 20 hrs/wk
Weekends Required: 2 Saturdays of Add/Drop when campus is open

Percentage of time that could be remote (0-100%): 30% to man the ISS-Virtual Front Desk

Method to assess remote work: Responded to students' inquiries, concerns, issues timely within 1-2 business days; document scanned into Perceptive Content within project timetable; completed special projects assigned by the supervisor; manifested good collaboration and teamwork among constituents; demonstrated courtesy and and willingness to go the extra mile in serving students.

Job Description

  • Welcoming guests: Greeting visitors and providing a hospitable welcome
  • Handling inquiries: Answering phone calls, responding to customer inquiries, and directing
    messages in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Resolving issues: Assisting customers in a branded, friendly, proactive, and efficient manner
    with appropriate follow-up as necessary.
  • Team collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with the ISS Advisors in achieving the department’s
    strategic priorities, goals & objectives for student success.
  • Administrative support: Assisting with student record imaging and maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in (or strong interest in) office administrative support, student services work, and customer service relations
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, experience working independently and collaboratively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as computer usage and emailing skills
  • Possess analytical skills, team player traits, and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-pace environment under high-level and minimal supervision
  • Abilities to work with and main academic records, including interpreting information, handling with confidentiality, and securing the review and storage.
