Percentage of time that could be remote (0-100%): 100% of the work will be done virtually / remotely it will involved social media management, content search and delivery, marketing efforts, engagement with institute’s projects/initiatives on service, community engagement, collaboration, etc.

Method to assess remote work: Assessment will take place through weekly meetings with supervisor and evidence by work submitted weekly related to established goals. Outcomes are to celebrate, support, share resources, and amplify voices of Latinx people.
How will assessment or accountability be documented: Weekly logs and monthly reports.

Job Description

  • Work with the Institute’s co-founders and director to establish, promote, and grow the Latinx Mental Health and Social Justice Institute in support of the Latinx community.
  • Tasks include: weekly meetings with supervisor (1 hour), working meetings with other members of the institute as needed (1-2 hours), social media management, content search and delivery (2 – 5 hours), marketing efforts (2 – 5), and engage or lead institute’s projects/initiatives such as service, community engagement, collaborations, and among others (1 – 10 hours).

Qualifications

  • Applicants must have interest and understanding of the Latinx community, and commitment to working for their well-being and related social justice issues that affect the community.
  • We are looking for individuals who are organized, are familiar with various social media outlets, and able to take initiative with meeting the goals of the institute.
  • Experience with organizing events and Spanish skills are preferred.
