Method to assess remote work: Publication of the journal, specifically of the bi-yearly issues. Regular meetings and communication with the MFA Team.

Job Description

  • Together with the Editor-in-Chief and under advisement from the MFA core faculty and staff, Submission Review Managing Editor leads and supports Lunch Ticket Reading Teams.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Leads and supports the team of the journal’s lead editors (7 hours)
    • Leads one reading team (5 hours)
    • Supports the editor in chief in different areas of the journal’s operations (2 hours)
    • Trains reading teams on submittable (2 hours)
    • Keeps reading teams on schedule (2 hours)
    • Helps make final publication selections (1 hour)
    • Tracs, logs, and analyzes the magazine's submission statistics (1 hour)

Qualifications

  • Must be a currently enrolled MFA Student;
  • Minimum two terms on Lunch Ticket team in various positions;
  • Completion of the MFA Field Study (if it was Lunch Ticket).
  • Ideally previous editorial experience on other journals.
