Job Description and Any Special Skills:

AULA’s Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) now has a federal work study position open. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the Center that supports tutoring and assessment on the AULA campus. Through the center, undergraduate and graduate students receive one-on-one tutoring to help them achieve their academic and creative goals while at Antioch. Several esteemed MFA alumni tutor for the TLC. This is an administrative support position. A good candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to create a welcoming environment for tutors and students, and an eye for detail. Interest in learning about assessment is a huge plus.

Responsibilities:
• Responding to students’ and tutors’ needs in Teaching & Learning Center
• Staffing the virtual desk to provide service to students
• Coordinating and monitoring tutoring schedule
• Supporting evaluation of tutoring effectiveness
• Providing clerical support for assessment office
• Creating and managing databases, surveys, and other electronic tools
• Organizing and updating Curriculum Committee documents and minutes
• Maintaining Curriculum Committee and Faculty Course Sakai sites
• Identifying resources appropriate for use in assessment practices
• Updating, filing, and archiving student assessment records
