Method to assess remote work: Supervisor will be in weekly communication with the students to monitor that the work is being completed.

Job Description

  • We are recruiting assistants to start Fall 2024 to work on a horizon scan of marine invasive species using a modified EIACAT protocol (no experience necessary).
  • The students will be working with AUNE faculty, and collaborators at other organizations.
  • The research will involve extensive investigation of the literature, and development of a priority list of species for monitoring.

Qualifications

  • BS in natural resources management, aquatic biology, fisheries or wildlife management, or related biological field;
  • Experience with database management and programming.
  • A strong work ethic, good communication skills, attention to detail, interest in marine science with management implications, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently are critical.
