Job Description
- Work closely with MFA team members to develop a social media plan for the Creative
Writing dept. (1 hour)
- Develop and maintain relationships with MFA community through social media by monitoring their publications and accomplishments, as well as other activities, and promoting those activities on various mediums (2 hours)
- Generate new content daily that builds meaningful connections and encourages
community members to engage (10 hours)
- Announce MFA-related activities, information, and announcements on social media when
necessary (4 hours)
- Collaborate with Antioch Marketing, other MFA team members including the Newsletter
Editor to generate content (1 hour)
- Create other innovative and new marketing and social media ideas to generate interest in
Antioch’s MFA program and our community (2 hours)
Qualifications
- Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Demonstrable social networking experience
- Willingness and ability to learn new platforms and tools (we use Canva to create social media graphics, Buffer to schedule posts, and social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, etc. )
- Engagement and professional interest in literary community will be helpful.
