Position Title: Student Employee - Art Studio

How will remote work be supervised?  We meet virtually throughout the quarter, and we also regularly check in via email in the interim.

Job Description

  • Check and respond to the emails
  • Manage the Art Studio email account
  • Coordinate and host student-facilitated open studios and workshops
  • Maintain an organized and clean studio space for faculty, students, open studio and classroom use
  • Audit supplies for orders, maintain borrowing library
  • Update the Art Studio Handbook & student Policy
  • Update the Art Studio Work Study Orientation Manual
  • Maintain a clean and organized studio space at all times
  • Schedule and implement kiln firings and ceramic processes
  • Communicate with facilities team as necessary
  • Coordinate CAT locker assignments, checking in and checking out
  • Meet regularly with and train incoming student employees
  • Meet with Alyssa regularly re: supply orders and other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Current CAT student
  • Strong self-starter skills
  • Strong communicator, able to navigate complex dual roles
  • Strong organizer, with ability to use Google Drive (including Docs/Sheets/Forms)
  • Creative, with strong initiative and good problem solving skills
  • Spatially aware and organized, enjoys maintaining, organizing and editing a shared community space
