The Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program at AULA provides paid employment opportunities to students who apply for federal financial aid with the purpose of providing financial assistance and valuable employment experience. Even if you are not currently receiving a grant or loan, you may be eligible for a position through FWS.
Priority is given to financial aid applicants with the highest level of need, who meet the priority deadline, on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are depleted.
To determine eligibility, complete a FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov and make certain to choose “Yes” for the Work-Study question.
Here’s a list of eligible positions. Apply for any open position by emailing the supervisor listed in the posting. Use the body of the email to state your interest in the position and why you feel your experience makes you a good match for the job. This will serve as your cover letter. From there, the supervisor can access and review your resume from the resource list. The next step will be an interview. Typically, supervisors will want to interview a few applicants before making a final decision. The department supervisor will alert you of your status toward the position.
