Maria is currently a clinical director for a treatment center in Pasadena, overseeing the treatment services provided to adult clients suffering with substance abuse problems and addiction. She has experience working in mental health and substance abuse treatment for non-profit organizations and has also worked in private practice. She loves working in the field of addiction and treatment.

In 2007 Maria began her career in substance abuse treatment, working as a counselor/case manager and outreach coordinator. She earned an associate’s degree in Addiction Studies from Pierce College and was certified through CAADE shortly thereafter.
