Dr. Evarts graduated from Antioch University New England’s (AUNE) PsyD program in 2017. She has worked in community mental health, college counseling, correctional, and Veterans Affairs Medical Center settings throughout her training. Dr. Evarts is a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice and a position on the core faculty of the clinical psychology department at AUNE, where she also serves as Director of Student Affairs.

Further, Dr. Evarts is the founder and director of the Center for Diversity and Social Justice (DSJ), which supports students, faculty, and staff from the greater Antioch University community, as well as community members from the region. For example, the DSJ sponsors student affinity groups, conducts social justice/multicultural research through the DSJ Research Collaborative, collaborates with Antioch University Seattle to provide annual social justice conferences, amplifies student of color voices through the Collaborative for Racial Justice, Reconciliation, and Healing (CRJ) and supports faculty as they integrate anti-racist values into, and decolonize, their courses. In addition, Dr. Evarts provides training and consultations on white privilege, white allyship, positionality, and sociopolitical identities, navigating unintentional harm, decolonization, and racial dialogue.

Dr. Evarts’ clinical and research interests include but are not limited to, racial & social justice, sexual & gender diversity, trauma, attachment, and relational psychodynamic theories. She also teaches and conducts qualitative research, as well as program development, evaluation, and implementation. In addition to teaching and serving on the leadership team of the PsyD program, Dr. Evarts supervises clinicians at the Psychological Services Center; conducts, presents, and publishes research; chairs dissertations; provides psychotherapy to a private practice caseload; provides consultations for community institutions in New Hampshire and Vermont; and engages in constant self-reflection, professional development, advocacy, and activism in an attempt to continue striving towards anti-racism, equity, and social/racial justice.
