Sue earned a BA in political science and environmental studies at Williams College. She worked for over twenty years at Northfield Mount Hermon School as a teacher, dorm head, athletics coach, director of environmental education, chair of the executive committee of the faculty, and dean. Sue also has an MS in environmental studies and began teaching at Antioch University New England in 2002.

Over the past 20 years, she has taught in master’s degree programs in the departments of environmental studies, education, and business administration at AUNE, and for more than a decade, she taught in Antioch University Los Angeles’ Urban Sustainability MA Program. Sue continues to work for Antioch University, teaching online courses in the Undergraduate Studies Program and in Antioch’s fully online MBA program and BS completion program.

She has also been a consultant for schools and school districts working towards educating for sustainability. Sue lives in Connecticut, has two adult sons, and enjoys biking, gardening, walking with friends and her dog, cooking, and learning to play the fiddle.

In addition to teaching courses in the Undergraduate Studies Program and the AU online BS Completion and MBA Programs, I consult with schools as they work to incorporate educating for sustainability into their curricula and institutional practices and am a member of the Board of the United States Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development, collaborating with professionals across the country to bring educating for sustainability to education in the U.S. and elsewhere in the world.
