Dr. Austin received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Antioch New England University in 2011 and completed his predoctoral internship at the Albany Consortium in New York. There, his primary rotations included hospital inpatient (Albany Medical College), Veteran’s Administration outpatient (the Stratton VA Medical Center) and state mental health services (the Capital District Psychiatric Center), working with a diverse patient population and continuing his training in brief therapeutic models. For his postdoctoral training, Dr. Austin completed a neuropsychological residency at Comprehensive Neuropsychological Services, again in Albany. There, Dr. Austin received extensive training in neuropsychological assessment, working primarily with individuals who have suffered mild traumatic brain injury. Currently, he works in a small private practice in Bow, New Hampshire, performing clinical supervision, psychotherapy, and psychological and neuropsychological assessment with adults and adolescents. Dr. Austin’s therapeutic work is grounded in psychodynamic models and attachment theory, and he continues to pursue his interests in brief models of psychotherapeutic treatment.
