Diana & Simon Raab Writers Series presents: Richard Russo

Join us for an evening with Pulitzer Prize-winning author and screenwriter Richard Russo. Russo is the inaugural guest of AUSB’s MFA in Writing & Contemporary Media program and will be interviewed by KCRW morning anchor Jonathan Bastian for broadcast at a later date.

Admission is free, but seating is limited. RSVP to mmorrison4@antioch.edu.

Richard Russo is a novelist, short story writer, screenwriter, and teacher. He received the Pulitzer Prize for his novel Empire Falls and wrote the teleplay for the HBO mini-series based on his novel. His other novels include Mohawk, Nobody’s Fool, Straight Man, and Everybody’s Fool.

The event is produced in conjunction with Antioch University Santa Barbara’s MFA in Writing & Contemporary Media program. Whether students prefer writing for the page, the stage, the screen, or the microphone, they will discover how to use the fundamental elements of narrative to craft stories for a wide range of media settings such as print, film, television, video games, radio, and Internet.

The Diana & Simon Raab Writers Series presented The Allure of Ana•s Nin earlier this year.
