MBA Workshop: Non-Profit Sector Economics with Geoff Green
“Non-Profit” is a Tax Status, Not a Business Model
Workshop with Geoff Green, CEO of the Santa Barbara City College Foundation
Presented by Antioch University’s MBA Program
The nonprofit sector is well known for its roles in human service, the arts, environmental protection and education. Nearly everyone in the United States knows and has been involved with multiple nonprofit organizations (whether they realize it or not). What many people don’t realize is that the nonprofit sector is also a massive economic engine and a highly creative entrepreneurial space.
In this session we’ll explore the sector from a financial, structural, and policy perspective. We’ll take stock of its economic impact, and some of the current challenges to the sector including funding, political, and legal issues.
This event is free and open to the public. RSVP is required: email email@example.com.
