Dr. Lisa Aronson, MSW, JD, PhD is a clinical child psychologist and licensed clinical social worker. She maintains a private clinical practice in Santa Barbara and Ventura/Ojai specializing in youth and families experiencing distress and disorders. Her approaches include psychosocial support, psychodynamic psychotherapy, problem solving therapy, and crisis and bereavement counseling

Lisa is presently adjunct faculty in the Masters of Clinical Psychology Program at Antioch University Santa Barbara and a guest lecturer at the New Center for Psychoanalysis’ Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program in Los Angeles. She was a Fulbright-Nehru Visiting Lecturer to India (2010-2011) and is a published author (A School Counsellor Casebook, Byword Books, Delhi, 2013).

Formerly, she served a Director of Child Evaluation at the University of California, Los Angeles’ Trauma Psychiatry Service for nine years and Director of the Center for the Study of Mind and Human Interaction and Assistant Professor of Psychiatric Medicine at the University of Virginia’s School of Medicine for three years.
