Adjunct Faculty, MA in Clinical Psychology

Dr. Miguel Garcia is a Licensed Family Physician receiving his Medical degree from the School of Medicine Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, Mexico. In addition to receiving his Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute in 2000.

Dr. Garcia has had a vast experience working as a mental health clinician in different places such as University of Texas Medical Branch, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, South Central Los Angeles Ministry Project and Children Hospital Los Angeles where served to the high-risk families from the Latino community, and the Latino Family Therapy Program, which is a systems-based training program for MFT students serving Spanish speaking families as part of the school’s counseling center.

Currently, Dr. Garcia is adjunct faculty the MA in Clinical Psychology program, and he participates in the MACP Latino Mental Health concentration.
