Economic Development Initiatives

Ecovation Hub

An exciting vision for sustainable economic growth and community-scale resilience to climate change is emerging in the tri-state region of Southeastern VT, Northwestern MA, and Southwestern NH. Spurred by the closure of the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant, a local initiative called the Ecovation Hub has emerged to replace lost jobs with employment in the green economy sector. This effort has successfully engaged a diverse group of stakeholders from the for-profit, nonprofit, and public sectors. Antioch’s Sustainable Business Initiative will eventually reside within the Ecovation Hub’s Knowledge Center.
