Leadership Inquiry/Research

Reflective scholar:

To understand the major theoretical perspectives in leadership and organizational change literature regarding:

  • The complexities of organizational leadership at the beginning of the 21st century
  • The rationale for and difficulties of creating new organizational norms
  • The strengths and weaknesses of different organizational change strategies in relation to different organizational settings
  • To understand and critique research and scholarly literature in the general areas of leadership and organizational change in the professions

Reflective learner:

  • To apply major theoretical perspectives in leadership and organizational change literature to real-life cases and to reflect on these applications
  • To design, conduct and reflect on original research that has value for the field

Reflective practitioner:

  • To reflect and act on one’s own ideas, analyses, values and personal and organizational interests in relation to issues of democratic leadership, new organizational norms and desired organizational change strategies
  • To reflect and act on one’s own ideas, analyses and values as a researcher- practitioner
